Common questions
Where is my data stored?
On your iPhone, inside Kiana. There's no account and nothing is uploaded, so we can't see your data or restore it for you. See the privacy policy for details.
Will I lose everything if I get a new phone?
Not if you move to the new phone from a backup. Kiana's data is included in your iCloud or computer backup, and in Quick Start transfers between iPhones. To check iCloud Backup is on, go to Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, then iCloud Backup.
Why am I not getting reminders?
Check Settings, then Notifications, then Kiana, and make sure Allow Notifications is on. Focus modes can also hold notifications back. Kiana sends reminders at one time of day, which you can change in Kiana's Settings. Follow-ups remind you before they're due, and medication reminds you a week before you run out and again close to it.
How does Kiana work out when I'll run out of tablets?
It starts from the count you entered, takes away your daily dose for each day since, and divides what's left by your dose. When you get more tablets from the pharmacy, tap "Picked up a prescription" and the date moves. If the count drifts, use "Fix count or dose" to set it to what's actually in the packet.
Can I change or delete something I added?
Yes. Press and hold an item in a list, or open it and tap the … button, then choose Edit or Delete.
How do I delete all my data?
Delete the Kiana app from your phone. That removes everything stored in it, including progress photos. We don't hold a copy.
Is Kiana medical advice?
No. Kiana is an organiser that keeps track of what you tell it. It doesn't diagnose or recommend anything. Always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions, and check doses with them.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Email us if you'd use one, so we know how many people are waiting.
